Damita Haddon Engaged to be Remarried

    Gospel artist Damita Haddon is getting married again. After a lengthy marriage with Gospel star Deitrick Haddon, Damita is no longer looking back.

   Damita recently got engaged to photographer Reuben Chandler and is quoted as saying, “I’m very happy because someone has found me that loves me for me.” “When I wasn’t looking, it seemed like God placed him right in front of me.    Damita tells AlwaysAlist.com that she first met Reuben 12 years ago while both were serving at Without Walls International Church in Tampa, Florida. The two reconnected a little more than a year ago while Reuben, who resides in Alabama, was visiting Atlanta.

   Damita, who is an Atlanta resident, was having a cookout with some friends and invited the photographer over.

   “I invited him to stop by to hang with me and some of my friends,” she shared. “I had no idea then that it would be the beginning of us starting to date.”

   The Detroit-bred singer, who started out in a girl group called Adoration ‘N Prayze, said she has never been happier.

   “I’m happy because I matter to him,” she beamed. “I’m listened to and I’m honored by him. He’s a man of God. I’m happy because I’m a wife that will belong to Reuben Chandler. God is great!”

   The singer said she knew she was ready to marry him because “we just fit!”

     Damita was officially divorced in 2012 from the “Preacher’s of L.A.” star Deitrick Haddon. The split turned nasty after Deitrick accused Damita of sleeping with fellow Gospel star Isaac Carree. Carree never confirmed or denied specific claims in his only statement to the media. Deitrick Haddon has since remarried, and now has two children with his wife Dominique.
