Motown Gospel’s Tasha Cobbs rings in the New Year with a #1
album on Billboard’s Top Gospel Albums chart, seven Stellar Gospel Music Awards
nominations, two GRAMMY® Award nominations and performances on the Trumpet

Cobbs received seven nominations for Artist of the Year, the
Albertina Walker Female Vocalist of the Year, New Artist of the Year, CD of the
Year, Contemporary Female Vocalist of the Year, Contemporary CD of the Year,
and Praise and Worship CD of the Year. Cobbs’ #1 Billboard Gospel song “Break
Every Chain” was also nominated for Song of the Year for songwriter Will
Reagan. The 29th Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards will be held at the
Nashville Municipal Auditorium on Saturday, January 18, 2013. The show will air
live on the UP television network on January 18, and in broadcast syndication
on 150 stations in over 125 markets around the country from January 18 through
March 2, 2014.
Cobbs also received two GRAMMY® Award nominations for Best
Gospel/Contemporary Christian Music Performance (“Break Every Chain-Live”) and
Best Gospel Album (Grace-Live). The 56th Annual GRAMMY® Awards will be held on
“GRAMMY Sunday,” January 26, 2014, at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles and will be
broadcast live on CBS from 8:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m. (ET/PT).
“Break Every Chain” continues to climb the Adult R&B
radio chart. Recently, Cobbs won three GMA Dove Awards for Gospel Performance
of the Year (“Break Every Chain”), and Contemporary Gospel/Urban Song of the
Year (“Break Every Chain”). Her #1 Billboard album, Grace, also won
Contemporary Gospel/Urban Album of the Year. Grace is produced by label-mate
and multiple award-winning recording artist VaShawn Mitchell.
